Abstract |
The following article arises from the need to integrate the methodology and general concepts of Ecodesign in the practical exercise of project work for product development. Thus, the guidelines established by the chilean law for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) are assumed, as well as those obtained from the current panorama at the country level regarding the opportunities and real limitations estimated before the peremtory implementation of the different technical tools that aim to improve the environment. Therefore, it is proposed a procedural model applicable to the Teaching of Industrial Product Design, as well as, for the practical exercise of the discipline in the professional field and especially to the one developed within Small and Medium Enterprises. Allowing to systematize decision-making and product planning from a Sustainable perspective and in response to the regulatory requirements of the current environmental institutions. The results, obtained from the application of this model show the efficient resolution of cases aimed at optimizing the Design for the end of life in Containers and Packaging (C & P). Considering that these arouse a high interest - because they have been indicated by the current legislation - as priority products to be promoted in the management and recovery for recycling. As well as, for being an effective communicative and collective training instance, for the promotion of the different principles that sustain good environmental practices.. |
