Title Design of the supply chain network for the management of textile waste using a reverse logistics model under inflation

Abstract Global warming and ecological damage are growing concerns due to accelerated industrial production and waste generation rates. Since the textile industry significantly contributes to these environmental issues, implementing reverse logistics becomes crucial to mitigate improper disposal. This study, therefore, presents a framework that focuses on developing a supply chain that minimizes textile waste by adopting circular principles under inflation. It presents a sustainable textile production system involving retailers' and manufacturers' collaboration. The study also incorporates several key elements, including transporting residual components to a new supply chain, repairing defective items, and proper waste processing before disposal. Through this approach, the textile industry can make informed production decisions related to shipment and expenditures for waste treatment, thereby optimizing the overall cost. A numerical study is conducted to demonstrate the proposed framework's feasibility. The model's validity and practical applicability are assessed through a numerical example and sensitivity analysis of key factors.
