Abstract : The reverse logistics of solid waste in Brazil has relatively recent legislation that has focused its concern on hazardous waste. Subsequent legislative changes and inclusions were also not so comprehensive as to consider the mandatory reverse logistics system for all solid waste that the industry generates. At this point, it is observed that, in parallel with the legal system, the consumer market has been demanding changes in paradigms for the production and disposal of waste, which reflects in the behavior of the entrepreneur attentive to the market. From this perspective, the object of the present work aims to analyze the importance of ecodesign and the circular economy in this process. The Economic Analysis of Law and a parallel of the Economic Behavioral Analysis of Law are described to demonstrate the importance of observing the concepts of economics in this complex that involves the State, as a legislative and supervisory agent, the company, with its entrepreneurial interest and society, as a consumer; all considered as an indispensable part of a complex system of environmental preservation and efficient economic and social development. As a working methodology, the hypothetical -deductive method is used, a descriptive study based on an essentially interdisciplinary bibliographic basis.
