There are efforts been made globally, to switch from the take-make-dispose linear economy to Circular Economy (CE) which lead us in rethink how to consume, to produce and to discard products. However, there are challenges and barriers that are keeping businesses from this transition despite the benefits. One of such challenge is to identify the effects of New Product Development (NPD) in supply chain. This research aimed to unfold the contextual analysis related to Sustainability, NPD and CE by using a Natural Language Processing (NLP) approach, scientific contributions were retrieved from Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) databases, totaling in 633 papers without period restrictions and generated data was analyzed via statistical software RStudio. Main results evidenced negative and positive trends in the field, proposed three important topics that represents current literature and created a circular network to reveal potential themes. In this strand, suggestions for future quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research are addressed, both in theoretical and empirical ways. |
