Promoting green technology innovation is imperative for all nations seeking to attain sustainable development and foster green growth. China, as the largest developing country globally, stands at the forefront of rapid economic development. In this study, we delve into the influence of Taoism on green technology innovation within Chinese cities. Employing empirical analysis based on comprehensive Chinese city data, our findings substantiate that Taoism plays a constructive role in bolstering green technology innovation in these urban centers. Notably, a positive correlation emerges, demonstrating that a stronger presence of Taoist principles corresponds with heightened levels of green technology innovation. |
