| Abstract | Progress in transport and technology development are basis for sustainable and inclusive growth. Sustainable solutions in most important sectors of economy are required, and one of them is a smart shuttle as proposed in this article. The purpose of the paper is to discuss and investigate the factors of such solution development. A qualitative study based on the structured literature review was conducted to gather information regarding factors influencing use of the smart shuttle in sustainable transportation development. This study provides business and understanding of the mechanisms of implementing smart solutions in transport and logistics, which may allow them to build a sustainable business network. This paper is significant for two reasons. First it presents the current situation regarding the conditions of autonomous vehicles implementation on public roads. Second, this study provides insights into an unexplored area of influencing factors that help to achieve sustainability and creates a new business ecosystem. The paper is qualitative and provides ideas for future research. A quantitative study can be conducted in order to develop a business model for the car-sharing system using inter-organizational network models. |
