Abstract Existing distribution systems have had to adapt in response to improving for better-supporting consumers in smart cities. This digest focuses on optimal operation control strategies considering plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) and subway systems. In this digest, linear programming is proposed for the optimization algorithm by applying regenerative braking energy (RBE). The proposed problem optimizes the energy's total cost considering both vehicles to grid (V2G) and vehicle to subway (V2S) technology. Besides, a stochastic framework is used to model the uncertainty of PEVs, load, and distributed energy resources (DERs). The feasibility of the proposed method is examined in a fictional smart city.
