Abstract Population growth, urbanization, limited natural resources, and other factors can be challenging to be managed in the future. Applying concept of smart city could be a solution to improve the functionality, effectivity, and efficiency of city management with a support of technology. Bandung as one of the cities in Indonesia initiated the concept of smart city as a solution to deal those urban challenges, where smart education is included in the concept. Enforcing the potential of ICT and smart approaches to manage the educational dimension is considered to increase both the performances of teachers and the quality of students. That way, the city's ability to absorbing technology capabilities can be improved and used for sustainable growth and development of the city. The purpose of this research is to measure readiness index of smart education in Bandung to support educational management. Research method that being used in this study is a mixed method; an explorative research in the form of data retrieval using data analytic and descriptive research through collecting data related to readiness index which was done by conducting in-depth interview, FGD, and distributing questionnaire to respondents that chosen using quadruple helix in the field of smart education services. The result shows that smart education readiness index in Bandung is at 64.46, which is considered as still need much improvement.
