| Abstract | With the increasing demand for high speed wireless data access, the 5th generation mobile networks promise a revolution in the way we connect; with faster data transfer and the capacity to support a higher density of users. In the presented work, a capacitive edge-coupled patch antenna array is designed and simulated to operate at 28GHz. Back to back printed microstrip feeding network technology is used to achieve compact, low-loss and cost-effective millimeter-wave antenna array. Both connectivity and signal coverage with installed street light poles and near-by cellular towers are investigated. |
