Abstract	This paper provides the state-of-the-art of vehicle communications. The current trends of the vehicle communication are defined in the article. Vehicle communication tends to use Internet of Things (IoT), We are discussing the issues of developing Internet of Vehicles (IoV) and consider it as a part of Smart City. The overview provides the detailed analysis of vehicle communications for IoV in order to determine the new trends.
