Title City Infrastructure Evaluation using Urban Simulation Tools
Year 2020
Published
Abstract With ever-changing cities and growing populations it becomes progressively more difficult to assess which infrastructural changes are beneficial and which are possibly destructive long-term. It is almost impossible to find experts that understand the wide range of aspects surrounding smart cities as well as their interrelationships. Decision makers need a tool that helps them to set certain policies and evaluate their impact on key performance indicators (KPIs). This paper presents a multi-criteria evaluation method based on assessing infrastructural changes in the city combining different modeling tools to gather sufficient data to assess and evaluate different alternatives. The proposed approach is demonstrated on a case study from Prague 6, Vitezne namesti.
