Abstract The intelligent city idea refers to an urban model in which, above all, the relations between citizens and institutions, between citizens and the economic world, and among citizens themselves are modified to attain a new equilibrium. This essay aims to explain a counterpoint of "urban cleanup", which pays too little heed to the human element of cities and instead emphasizes esthetical factors in detriment to satisfying the guiding principle of human dignity. Therefore, nations are not the real actors for possible change, but rather cities, districts and neighborhoods, through joint actions. Through the phenomenological method, this paper try to take some notes about the phenomenon called "human cities", which the purpose is to improve the quality of the habitat for citizens
