Title Agriculture And Circular Paradigm: A Case Study
Year 2018

Abstract In recent years we are witnessing the development and dissemination of the concept of circular economy that is now recognized internationally as the paradigm of development for a sustainable future. Being able to create a circular economy means assuming its principles at all stages of the value chain, which inevitably requires a rereading according to the specifics of the sector considered. Agriculture is not exempt from this commitment, the need to reflect on how the principles of the circular economy are integrated into the work of agri-food companies is clear. In other words, it is important to question the concrete actions to demonstrate the commitment to achieve a "circular paradigm". In this regard, a case study was carried out aimed at verifying the compatibility of the entrepreneurial strategies of some Tuscany region winemaking enterprises with the principles of the circular economy. In particular, in this first experiment, it was decided to pay attention to the principle of "renewability" in quantity and quality of capital stocks, considering it the one with greater connections to the sustainability of well-being.
