| Abstract | This article endeavors to explore how digital technologies can more effectively facilitate sustainability in green university initiatives. Based on the theoretical review, we proposed a four-dimensional (i.e., green education, green research, green campus, and green life) framework for analyzing the digitalization transformation of green university initiatives. By means of qualitative interviews, we investigated a practical case through which we discovered that a succession of digitalization measures can be adopted to enhance the performance of green university initiatives. This article contributes to the existing literature in the following aspects: (1) proposing an analytical framework to disclose the potential of digitalization in facilitating green university initiatives; (2) providing a case study to illustrate the proposed framework; and (3) uncovering the dynamics beneath the digitalization transformation of green universities. Overall, this article offers a more nuanced understanding of the theory and practice of green university initiatives in the digital era. |
