Abstract Based on data of Chinese social economic development, conduct an empirical study on relevance between Chinese economic development and energy consumption as well as on relevance between Chinese economic development and environmental pollution. Using statistical software to set up an economic model and try to describe the EKC curve in Chinese setting. According to the research, Chinese economic development still heavily depends on energy consumption, causing great pollution to the environment. Therefore, China should construct a circular economy and a resource-conserving and environment-friendly society.
