| Abstract |
The business environment, in its broadest sense, reflects the quality of economic conditions and assumptions for economic activities of enterprises. Quality business environment creates the conditions for long-term sustainable economic growth and it is a fundamental prerequisite for business development and increasing competitiveness of the Slovak Republic on an international scale. There are a number of models and indexes that assess the business environment according to selected criteria, the methods of obtaining information, comparisons between countries and years. Ones of these indexes are also Business environment index, respectively Regional business environment index, which are designed by Business Alliance of Slovakia. The aim of this paper was particularly refer the factors that negatively affect the long-term quality of the business environment and the need to handle them. |
