Title Analysis Of Sustainability And Csr Tools For Its Application To The Process Industry

Abstract At the present, the terms sustainability, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable development are frequently used in very different fields. The sustainable management implies the acknowledgement and integration in business of social, laboral, environmental and human rights concerns. In the majority of the productive businesses, the variables related to design, life cycle and product impact are separated from the social and environmental impact. In this work, the master plans of an Integrated Sustainability Model (ISM) have been established. This ISM. has the main and most applicable characteristics for the quantification and implementation of the sustainable development in the Process Industry, taking the main existing international tools about this concept as both a starting point and a point of reference. In order to do so, the main tools, guides, and models now available have been analysed, taking into account the languages in which they are available, year of publication, authors and, mainly, the strong and weak points of each of the tools. Subsequently, and taking into account those parameters, the tools have been classified into groups and the basis of the ISM have been established, selecting finally a theoretical-practical model, based on the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle, which will include the product life cycle and will have a practical calculation base with uniform, governed indicators.
