Abstract Society, taken as the sum of individualities, is part of the quadruple helix model of knowledge within which, together with businesses, learning centres and public administrations, it promotes innovation. The incorporation of user innovation into the system is generating new dynamics, especially in the field of cultural and creative industries. This sector is of key importance due to the growth it is experiencing based on the sustainable and integrative knowledge and innovation provided by other non-economic components, such as cultural diversity, identifying factors, local advancement or social cohesion, which place it in a strategic position in this new digital era. In order to address these new relationships between the various factors, focusing on the so called "fourth helix", we intend to carry out a specific case study of the video game Industry in the city of Malaga. The emerging panorama of the local sector, its relationships and procedures, together with the results obtained, show the importance of the bottom up innovation flow in the emerging activity of the city indie videogame industry.
