Sustainable development realized in today's conditions reveals that the resources used in production disrupt the ecological balance due to limited and non-renewable resources. It is known that the current consumption level of the world is not sustainable when the existing physical and energy consumption of societies is taken into consideration especially in developed countries. For a production model that considers sustainable and ecological balance, bioeconomics will continue to increase in importance for coming years. According to OECD (2009) reports, the basis for bioeconomic developments is the increasing population and per capita income in developing countries. It is estimated that the world population will reach 9 billion in the next 10 years and 97% of this increase will occur in developing countries. As a result, this population will exert pressure on resources such as food, feed, water and energy. Also, it is estimated that the amount of GDP will increase by 2.3% in OECD countries and 4.6% in developing countries by 2030. In the report, it is estimated that the share of biochemical products in total chemical products will reach 35% and the percentage of products produced with biotechnology will reach 50%. Therefore, there is a need for structuring in the field of bioeconomics and the need for bioeconomics needs to be met by private sector initiatives. In this context, the transition to biyoekonomi, entrepreneurship understanding of the markets in this area and the business opportunities that will help facilitate access to are examined various entrepreneurial relationships and initiatives to improve the abstract concept of bioentrepreneurship, to categorize the components forms the basis for the study to examine the bioentrepreneurship in the world and Turkey. In addition, by identifying the activities in the field of bioeconomics in the agricultural sector, new opportunities in the sector were examined and within the scope of the study, the relations between the developments in agricultural bioeconomics and the development of the countries have been revealed and the necessity of spreading the agricultural bioeconomics entrepreneurship has emerged. |
