Abstract Sustainable practices in supply chain management are gaining momentum because of environmental concern, enforced regulations, pressures from consumers and communities, social issues and corporate citizenship; these practices are broadly implemented by organizations through sustainable outsourcing partners (SOPs). Hence, systematic evaluation system for SOP selection is required for companies' supply chain perspectives. This paper makes an attempt to select SOP. This work proposes a combined model based on best-worst method for evaluation and ranking of the selection criteria and Vlsekriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje for the final selection of partner. A case of Electronics Company of India demonstrates the application of the proposed framework. Sensitivity analysis is also performed to verify the robustness of the proposed approach. This study may benefit managers and business professionals not only in SOP evaluation process but also in the selection of the efficient SOP while achieving efficiency and effectiveness in sustainable practices.
