Abstract | The stakeholders' engagement is increasingly important for business sustainability, which can be verified through scientific studies. Companies seek sustainability as a strategy to obtain competitive advantages and the suppliers play an important role in achieving this result. For this reason, it is proposed from the Fuzzy Logic and Stakeholder Theory to develop the subject of sustainability and how the principles of the Global Compact can be integrated into sustainable purchasing strategies. It is a conceptual study that aims to deepen the discussion on sustainability and propose a model to assess the suppliers' degree of compliance with the code of conduct. This shows the usefulness of an instrument that helps in the process of selecting suppliers and decision-making, considering sustainability as a criterion. The basic components of decision theory are used, particularly the theories of relation, such as the affinities in the families of Moore and its illustration through the Galois lattices. The results of this paper contribute to the Affinities Theory so as to get to the approaches for sustainable purchasing. Therefore, the manuscript offers a useful contribution for companies, society and academia to advance the frontier of knowledge. In addition, the article is relevant to support future research on sustainability in companies, and the application of the methodology in strategies for sustainable purchases. |
