| Abstract | Public policies in higher education in Cuba are a continuation of the university reform. The Cuban university participates actively in the main transformations of society, through the training of human resources, scientific research and the extension of its work to society, as a university; scientific; technological; modern; universalized; humanist; relevant and innovative, for the growth and development of the economy and its social project. The university is immersed in the fulfillment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and in the implementation of the economic and social policy guidelines, the conceptualization of the economic model, the National Development Plan and its strategic axes, approved in the Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba and in Parliament. The present work aims to reflect on the development of the Cuban university and the extraordinary work they carry out in times of COVID19. |
