Abstract With the coming of the Internet era, big data technologies have become increasingly active. Many large firms measure data and analyse market changes and demands through modern information analysis technology. These firms accurately positioned their own development direction, provided consumers with more thoughtful services, reduced unnecessary cost investment, and obtained greater profits. This is a kind of big data analysis. However, a coin has two sides. While the development of big data benefits many firms, it may also infringe the interests of some people. In this paper, we use both theoretical methods and economic models to show that how the applying big data technology may adversely affect the competitiveness of market and the strengthening of dominant positions. According to the analysis, we categorise few relevant policy and legislation methods that is possible for the future sustainable development of big data and digital industries, following by proposed policy implications.
