Abstract It aims to define a new solution for increasing sustainability in construction by returning to the sustainable use of renewable natural plant resources (tomato peels), as was done in ancient times. This project therefore also contributes to the green and circular economy strategy as part of the Extremadura 2030 Green Economy Citizen Strategy and reflects the effort being made to align the strategies of public institutions in order to support innovation and technology transfer to companies, being referents of this new productive model. The aim is therefore to develop products based on natural polymers extracted from agri-food matrices (tomato peels) to provide solutions that facilitate the use of aggregates from construction waste CDW, improving their mechanical and durability capacities by mixing them with the natural polymer. Through laboratory tests, the new eco-hybridized material improves in practically all the properties tested, to a greater or lesser extent, especially in the properties of strength and durability. Therefore, the use of the recycled aggregate with the cutin polymer in the optimum percentages calculated meets the objectives set in the project and its use in rural roads is viable. It has been possible to reuse two types of waste that are generated in large quantities in the autonomous community of Extremadura, such as agricultural waste and construction and demolition waste, revaluing the products and giving them a second life in the use of this new material as a road surface for rural roads.
