| Abstract |
This paper deals with a reflection on the incidence that postulates of circular economy can project in Spanish private law, considering present and future actions designed under its protection. The analysis focuses on Consumer Law, where relationships between individuals are developed. Circular economy involves a further step in consumer's empowerment, who gets the protagonist role in a new model of consumption, responsible or critical. As a result of it, goods' durability emerges as a value, linked to consumer's right to repair, as a way of protecting personal savings and avoiding resources' waste. Legal challenge is how to translate programmatic declarations issued by the European Union and other international institutions into effective regulations. |
