Abstract |
Circular Economy (CE) is an approach to economic development that eliminates waste and brings in circularity in use of resources. Apart from benefitting the environment and society, it offers companies an opportunity to turn inefficiencies of a linear value-chain into business value. But the transformation is not easy as it requires shift in business practices and mindset across the ecosystem. Digital technologies and solutions can enable and ease such transitions. In this paper we present key barriers to Circular Economy, particularly for circularity of products, and discuss resulting opportunities for using Big Data Analytics and digitalization to address them. |
