Abstract |
Sociocultural perceptions of diverse social groups about the origin, evolution of the universe, life, man and its reflections in bio and geodiversity as resources to be protected, put into social use, located in diverse scenarios and productive structures of the agricultural economy are studied. The objective argues theoretically the construction of alternatives that insert bio and geodiversity contents, expressed in geology, paleontology and archeology, among others, so far disconnected from productive systems, reflecting cultural gaps in the cognition of local social groups. The social perceptions of these values and findings, as resources that enhance rurality, offer novel approaches to the agricultural economy, including the reconstruction of landscapes and their articulation with tourism from the bioeconomy as the axis of the circular economy. Quantitative and qualitative methodologies are used, with techniques and instruments such as the analysis of documents, visits to producers and interviews from a questionnaire to 35 people with different social status in the locality. It is concluded that bio- and geodiversity, when entering the socio-cultural context linked to the agricultural economy, increase their socioeconomic contributions and strengthen the perception of rurality among social groups. |
