Abstract |
The consequences of climate change are evident and increasingly so with regard to water resources. In this context, comprehensive management of the water cycle gains particular relevance, as circularity is essential in each of its areas, to the extent that each use conditions and also interferes with the others. Hence there is a need to share this comprehensive vision that requires everyone to participate and collaborate, through a participatory water governance model in which taxation plays a key role. As such, one could speak of a sustainable water transition through the prism of the circular economy, in which reuse of reclaimed water could become a key element in which local authorities play an essential role. |
