Abstract |
Electronic product manufacturers have successfully used a linear product life cycle management process (PLMP) for product definition, development, and manufacturing for decades. While this has met industry's and the markets' requirements in the past, today markets are increasingly demanding products that are "circular": more durable, more recyclable, longer-lived, and less toxic. PLMP requirements must now include criteria that will enable a more circular economy; these criteria can drive demand for green and sustainable chemistry in the electronics industry and its supply chain. |
