| Abstract |
In order to reduce the huge inefficiency of patterns of production and consumption expressed through society residues and subsequent social environmental and economic costs, an evolving range of policies are being created and implemented around the world. This paper bring forward evidences that the newly released policy in Brazil (Planares) set up the tone nationally, with partially outdated concepts and dubious indicators and is, thus, ripe for a revision already. Such revisions can be made at the municipal level, as shown in the case of Sao Jose dos Campos with no additional cost. |
