Abstract Based on the Porter hypothesis theory, this article aims to explore the relationship between environmental regulation and the development level of green logistics of fresh agricultural products, as well as the intermediary role of green technology innovation. The entropy method and SGMM are respectively used to measure the development level of green logistics of fresh agricultural products and verify the research hypothesis. We demonstrate that there is a nonlinear relationship between environmental regulation and green logistics development level of fresh agricultural products, and green technology innovation plays an intermediary role. Finally, we propose suggestions for the sustainable development of fresh produce logistics from logistic entities and the government. This article clarify the interaction mechanism among environmental regulation, green technology innovation and the development level of green logistics of fresh agricultural products, and provide empirical basis for the improvement of the development level of green logistics of fresh agricultural products through green technology innovation.
