Abstract In 5G green network, a serving of the major purposes or demands that should be tended to, are extended capacity, improved information rate, reduced latency, and better quality of services. To encounter these demands, exciting changes should be prepared in cellular network design. This paper displays the detailed survey on the 5G Green network energy efficiency strategies and also provides innovations that are beneficial in improving the energy efficiency for captivating care of the demands of the users. Here, the energy efficiency of 5G Green network is analyzed through various energy efficient technologies like, energy harvesting, resource allocation, massive MIMO, device to device network, spectrum sharing, ultra-dense networks for 5G green. In this paper, an over-all 5G Green multi-tier network architecture has also been recommended which is focusing on providing the energy efficiency in 5G Green networks.
