| Abstract |
The win-win links between the environment and economic benefits is a hot topic in the academic and industrial fields. With the increasing integration and the development of green economy and knowledge economy, eco-innovation becomes the fundamental source of sustainable competitive advantage of a firm. From the eco-innovation point of view, we combine the environmental benefits with the economic benefits, and analyze the impacts of environmental technology innovation on the environmental and economic benefits. We review the literature related to the eco-innovation which are based on the impacts of incremental/radical innovation on the environmental system, and find that there are three innovation choices: environmental factor change, subsystem change and system innovation. We propose a conceptive model of impacts of environmental technology innovation on the environmental benefits and economic benefits of a firm, to realize the win-win of environmental and economic benefits, because it is necessary for firms to go beyond rather than just improve to the existing production technology systems. |
