Abstract This paper provides a novel analysis in prime sectors of the smart city to study the existing cases in order to find out the pitfalls and scope of improvement in the Internet of Things (IoT) framework system. At the same time, this research article proposes specific system improvements in smart banking, intelligent building, smart healthcare, smart education, communication, and other essential parts of the smart city. The paper also explores the necessity to find a costeffective standalone IoT interface and proposes a standard modular with minimal expenditure that can be adopted in any smart system.
