Abstract |
As the available literature indicates, Smart city is an idea in which the city uses, among others, information and communication technologies to increase the interactivity and efficiency of transport infrastructure and the transport supra-structure. Although specialists dealing with the issues of smart cities use different definitions, they agree in one thing, the availability to services offered by intelligent transport systems is the key to development of this concept. On this basis, the authors have attempted to characterize the currently available services in the field of intelligent mobility in relation to road transport. The aim of the article is to show that the city, in order to be perceived as "intelligent", should first of all try to effectively use the solutions that are currently available on the market in the field of intelligent transport systems. |
