Abstract |
The aim of this paper is to develop a concept of a Smart City, considering also the approach to environment. The concept is developed further for the capital city of Prague. The capital city of Prague has put forward its own concept of development called SMART PRAGUE 20142020. This concerns a long-term concept of economic, technologically effective and sustainable development supported by the use of sophisticated and integrated data. In order to designate targets in the area of SMART infrastructure, a case-study was carried out, entitled Smart Buildings, involving a sample of 20 public buildings. This enabled proposals for, and evaluation of, measures leading not only to reduction of energy demand but also to improvement the quality of the internal environment. This part of the paper has the purpose of making known the methodology and some of the results of this case-study in which the Technical University participated. |
