Abstract |
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a worldwide network of intelligent items connecting the majority of common day-to-day devices to the internet for providing comfort, luxury, and a form of fortification to every human being's survival. The development of IoT is an important technological innovation that incorporates Artificial Intelligence and regulates a diversity of devices to aid human well-being. The foundation of IoT entails a lot of involvement in inter-connection of devices in order to carry out data exchange for human-to-human and human-to-computer interaction. This not only helps in executing a variety of mundane and advanced activities with high-end service and sensitivity, but also suits the standards of living at the best available price. IoT collects information using gadgets to track physical items and also their activities. In real-time, gadgets and technology can observe and compute information. This information is communicated, saved, and retrieved at any moment to build a smart city. However, gathering data from various distributed sources and applying analytics to derive strategic value involves substantial obstacles. IoT devices create enormous amounts of data that humans are not capable of understanding and forecasting. This article highlights the major challenges of data collection using IoT devices in an IoT-enabled environment. |
