| Abstract |
We propose and analyze a cloud utility called Trust as a Service (TaaS) for service management of Internet of Things (IoT) devices in smart cities. The major challenge in IoT service management in smart cities is the selection of trustworthy IoT service providers. TaaS preserves the notion that trust is subjective despite the fact that trust computation is performed by the centralized cloud. We validate TaaS with two smart city IoT applications and compare its performance against contemporary trust-based service management protocols. |
