Abstract |
Spain is a country characterised by inconsistent rainfall patterns and uneven distribution of water resources, meaning there has been a constant search for alternative sources with which to meet demand. As such, reuse of water has played a very important role and the country boasts considerable regulatory tradition and practical experience, especially in the southeast of the peninsula. This article studies the new legal regime for water reuse in Spain after the reform of the consolidated text of the Water Law (TRLA) to adapt it to the new Regulation (EU) 2020/741, on minimum requirements for water reuse. |
