Abstract As the carrier of interactive messages between objects in smart city cyber physical systems(CPS), middleware is the basis for realizing the interaction and collaboration of smart city CPS. Most of the existing middleware are limited by the space scope of the message subscriber or publisher, and need to perform filtering and matching operations on the subscriber, which increases the message delivery overhead. Based on the above situation, this paper proposes the middleware model called Ib MQ. Through testing, the results show that the model enables both publishers and subscribers to have the ability of spatial scope constraints, and provides more accurate data interaction capabilities for smart city CPS objects under the constraints of spatial scope, and at the same time verifies the publishing/Selective forwarding of events in subscription middleware is possible.
