Abstract Smart home is the main building block of the Internet of Things (IoT) and smart city. Many smart home architectures have been proposed in the last few years, but generally, they suffer from two major drawbacks. Firstly, the offered services are static to all home residents, in other words, they don't consider that different home residents have different personality and habits (Thinking space). Secondly, none of the existing architecture considers the social context among the home's residents (Social space). Therefore, in this paper we propose a cyber-enabled human-centric smart home architecture that considers the social and thinking dimensions of the home inhabitants, where the residents are the center of the architecture, all services and the control of the smart home is based on the residences' actions, behaviors, habits, and even thoughts and emotions.
