Abstract |
Beginning from smart city definitions and services, this paper aims to discuss the required components to build smart cities and deliver smart services. More specifically, the study will focus on infrastructure, governance and people's knowledge components and how each component contributes with different elements. As a result, this research proves the importance of each component to build a smart city and deliver smart services. In addition, a framework has been created to clarify the three basic components required to build smart cities. Each component contains elements that allow smart cities to communicate, interact and enable smart services. Overall, this study strengthens the idea that all three components are essential, where is considered an infrastructure component is the weighted higher importance in building smart cities, followed by knowledge of people and fmally governance. |
