Abstract |
The violent irruption of data in the urban field re-evaluates the city that we want: a city of services? In this analysis, we give more attention to the concerned actors, and not to data, because they are the subjects of collects and consumers of data-services (citizens, users), either because they work on this industry (the eco-digital system), or because they try to accompany the movement (civic techs), and in particular the public actor because this new landscape shakes up the definition of public service (public or not) and of the governance of the city. A new ecosystem is in gestation, the past references are not a great help because the power of the data reshuffles the cards. Who holds the power? Who is legitimate? Which status for the urban services public, private, mixed? Shouldn't we not invent a public project management to confront these new issues? |
