The chapter summarizes the entire discussion on smart city, geoinformatics, and digitalization of spatial data. Authors have raised and analyzed, through conceptual, review, case study, and research technique based papers on varied aspects. The geospatial extent of the book encompasses studies from different parts of the globe including US, Poland, Norway, Malaysia, Iraq; case studies from various cities of India viz. Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kochi from southern parts; Mumbai and Pune from the western region; Dehradun, Allahabad, Lucknow, Bhopal, Bhilwara, and Delhi from north and central; Itanagar and Kamrup from northeastern India. An attempt has been made to incorporate studies from a variety of perspectives to explore and understand the urban complex systems and the journey toward making these urban complexities into smart functioning. |
