| Abstract |
Smart Cities are defined as communities able to improve citizens' quality of life by integrating innovative, technology-based solutions with human potential. This paper aims to evaluate the impact of adopting on a citizenry level a self-administered, online cognitive assessment and training program targeting cognitive health and wellbeing in the process of building a smart community. An implementation of this program across the Peterborough citizenry will be presented, showing the potential outcomes it is intended to produce across the education, social services, workplace, and elderly healthcare sectors. Starting from this pilot study, which is successfully involving Peterborough local communities, possible implementations of the program in other cities' public services will be considered. |
