Abstract This paper aims to study integrated systems of digital technologies and 2D/3D digitization of Cultural Heritage (CH) within the urban systems. Particular attention is given especially to managing and developing processes of smart city strategies, policies and models in order to develop tools for enhancement and capitalization of cultural and environmental resources in a territory. This is in order to foster an ideal smart city conceived as an incubator for cultural and touristic activities. The study from the methodological point of view has made use of the identification of levels of study differentiated, each of which is capable of identifying categories. Detected by the various categories it was possible to extract a complex set of information in terms of structural, formal and functional. With the integration of all the techniques used in this paper, a 3D model with a relevant rich database of information was obtained as an interface to share and visualize information with web-based tools.
