Abstract |
In the Forth Industry Revolution era, the world is concentrating on Smart City. In addition, energy harvesting that facilitates the maintenance of numerous wireless sensors in Smart City has attracted much interest. This paper presents generation power by energy harvesting. This energy harvesting uses piezoelectric element often used for that. For measurement, the amount of power generation is measured by rectifier circuit that converts AC input to DC output. In order to store data measured on hardware in the database, this system is configured by WiFi module to access the Web server. Using data collected from this system, we predict harvestable energy per one human step. Based on this one step per energy and daily number of human walking for four weeks, daily generated power and cumulative power are calculated Although harvesting energy from a single 20mm diameter ceramic piezoelectric element can not drive a sensor permanently, it can operate as an auxiliary power for wireless low-power sensor operated by battery. |
