Abstract |
Perceived temperature by individuals is an important factor in determining the proper correlated color temperature (CCT) of light sources. In colder climates, people prefer to use light sources with warmer color temperatures, and in warmer climates, the tendency is to use light sources with cooler color temperatures. On the other hand, the temperature sensed by individuals is affected by environmental parameters such as the ambient temperature. So, considering the environmental parameters, it is possible to define the desired color temperature of users of an environment. In this study, regarding the ambient temperature as a parameter affecting the individuals' feeling of the color temperature of light-emitting diodes (LEDs), an innovative solution is presented. Results from the system simulation confirm the efficiency of this technique. The introduced method is recommended to adapt the LED light sources to the emotional requirements of inhabitants, especially in smart cities. |
