Along with the development of information technology, city life has undergone earthshaking changes which throw unprecedented challenge to the contemporary government. As the main body of social management, government confronts with two tasks, namely, to improve urban management level and to better satisfy the increasing material and cultural needs of urban residents. Smart Government, as a modem conception of public administration, is proposed by viewing from the level of world public administration transformation trend so as to understand the public minds and opinions roundly and exactly to smartly analyze and make decisions in an efficient and convenient way. Either Smart City construction or Smart Government construction is launching another round of information, science and technology revolution. This paper first does the comprehensive analysis of the features in China's urbanization process, followed by the clarification of the relationship between Smart Government and Smart City. Subsequently, the structure of Smart City is analyzed and the path for advancing the development of Smart City through Smart Government construction is further elaborated. |
