Abstract |
This exploratory reflection paper reports teaching experiences made in two new courses entitled (i) 'Innovations for Asia's Smart Cities' and (ii) 'Understanding Drone & Robotics Technology - History, Usage, Ethics & Legal Issues' taught at an Asian university. Besides describing the multidisciplinary pedagogical approach to enable students to appreciate the multiple facets of a smart city and newly emerging technologies such as unmanned aerial vehicles as well as the various assessment approaches, emphasis is put on reflecting about how both course topics could be linked in order to engage students and to equip them with important 21st century skills. |
